Best vintages of Mondeuse are made on the marly limestone scree of Massif des Bauges. This Savoy grape variety grows very well in that Mediterranean micro-climate.
The wine is matured in oak barrels for 10 to 18 months. Temperature-controlled tapered vats + grape stomping
The wine has a deep colour of dark purple. The nose gives off black fruit and spice aromas with woody and smoky notes. Powerful palate with harmonious tannins. The fleshy mouth develops with strength and long persistency
It can be enjoyed with red meats, game and some savoy cheeses
